Ernakulam, Kerala | 10–12 September 2026

Bringing the Vision of Shrii P. R. Sarkar into Contemporary Academic and Scientific Dialogue

Representatives of Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha participated in the 3-Day National Youth Conference on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), held from 10–12 September 2026 at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Adi Sankara Nilayam, Veliyanad, Ernakulam, Kerala.

Organized around the theme “Integrating Knowledge: Indian Knowledge Systems for a Sustainable Future,” the conference brought together young scholars, researchers, academicians and representatives of various educational and spiritual institutions to explore the relevance of India’s traditional knowledge systems in addressing contemporary scientific, social and developmental challenges.

Representing Ananda Marga, Deepeshwar Dev, Chittesh Dev and Puja Dev presented philosophical, yogic and socio-economic perspectives inspired by the comprehensive teachings of Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar (Shrii Shrii Anandamurti).

Exploring Ananda Marga Philosophy Through Three Research Themes

The Ananda Marga representatives contributed to the academic discussions through three thought-provoking presentations:

1. From Consciousness to Matter and Back: Reconstructing P. R. Sarkar’s Four-Chamber Model of Energy, Microvita, Inference and Propensity

The presentation explored the philosophical relationship between consciousness, matter, energy, Microvita and the functioning of the mind within Shrii P. R. Sarkar’s conceptual framework, encouraging interdisciplinary discussions on consciousness and the nature of existence.

2. Upavása as a Holistic Yogic Practice: An Ananda Marga Perspective in the Light of Contemporary Science

This presentation examined the traditional yogic practice of Upavása (fasting) from the perspective of Ananda Marga philosophy, exploring its spiritual significance and possible connections with contemporary scientific discussions on physical and mental well-being.

3. Integrating Indian Knowledge Systems for a Sustainable Future: Economics, Governance and Public Policy

The third presentation highlighted the relevance of Indian philosophical and socio-economic perspectives, including the progressive ideas of Shrii P. R. Sarkar, to contemporary discussions on sustainable development, governance, economic justice and collective welfare.

Together, these presentations demonstrated the scope of Ananda Marga philosophy for interdisciplinary study across spirituality, consciousness, health, economics and social development.

Guidance, Collaboration and Intellectual Contributions

The participation and presentations were undertaken under the guidance of RS Dada, Ácárya Sadashivananda Avadhuta, whose encouragement and direction supported the initiative.

Valuable intellectual inputs, background research and collaborative support were provided by Tushar Dev, Indu Kant Dev, Priyatosh Dev and Abhinav Dev, contributing to the preparation and development of the presented themes.

The collective effort reflected a shared commitment to introducing the philosophical and scientific perspectives of Shrii P. R. Sarkar to wider academic audiences.

Meaningful Academic Interaction and Future Opportunities

The conference provided a valuable platform for interaction with scholars and researchers associated with IITs, universities, spiritual organizations, yoga institutions and other academic bodies.

The presentations generated meaningful discussions on Ananda Marga philosophy, yogic practices, consciousness studies and progressive socio-economic thought.

Interactions with interested scholars and research participants also opened possibilities for further academic engagement, collaborative philosophical studies, research discussions and workshops focused on the ideas of Shrii P. R. Sarkar.

These exchanges highlighted the importance of constructive dialogue between traditional knowledge systems and contemporary academic inquiry.

Connecting Spiritual Wisdom with Contemporary Knowledge

The participation of Ananda Marga representatives marked a meaningful step towards expanding scholarly awareness of Shrii P. R. Sarkar’s contributions to philosophy, yoga, psychology, consciousness studies and socio-economic thought.

By presenting these ideas within an interdisciplinary academic forum, the initiative sought to encourage further exploration of the relationship between spiritual knowledge, scientific investigation, sustainable development and the all-round progress of humanity.

Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha appreciates the efforts of the organizing institution, guiding Ácáryas, contributors and participating representatives for facilitating this valuable academic engagement.

The conference participation reaffirmed the continuing relevance of Ananda Marga’s broader vision of intellectual expansion, spiritual development, rational inquiry and collective human welfare.
