Ananda Marga Leads Transformative Yoga & Wellness Sessions at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bangalore

Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bangalore, successfully hosted a week-long Students and Faculty Development Program under the Centre for Yoga and Wellness from 18th to 22nd February 2025. Themed “Harmony in Motion – Yoga for Holistic Well-being and Professional Excellence,” the program featured enriching sessions on yoga, mindfulness, and holistic living.

Ananda Marga representatives conducted three impactful sessions, inspiring faculty and students to integrate yogic practices into their daily lives for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

  • Ac. Krishnasundarnanda Avt. shared deep insights into yoga, mind, and consciousness, guiding participants through essential warm-up routines and key asanas for memory enhancement, stress relief, and active living.
  • The dynamic Kaoshikii and Tandava dance practices added vibrancy to the sessions, promoting emotional and physical strength.
  • On the final day, Reetu Didi and Pranab Dada led an interactive session on the deeper dimensions of yoga, meditation, and superfoods for holistic health. The program concluded with an Asana & Kaoshikii assessment, where six outstanding participants were recognized for their dedication.

The sessions were highly engaging, leaving students and faculty motivated to explore yoga and meditation further. The initiative was made possible with the collaboration of Kristu Jayanti College Management, Physical Education faculty Gomathy Ma’am, and student coordinators.

Ananda Marga extends heartfelt gratitude to the college for providing a platform to share the wisdom of Neohumanist Education and Yogic Science.

Inner and Outer Harmony: Enriching Summer Camp for Kids in Bengaluru

The Women Welfare Department, Bengaluru organized an enriching Summer Camp at Ananda Marga School, KG Halli, Bengaluru, guided by Ananda Marga Gurukula and Neohumanist Education. Held offline from May 13th to 17th, 2024, the camp centered on the theme “Inner and Outer Harmony” and saw participation from 45 children aged 5-11 years.

Camp Highlights:

  1. Art & Craft: Promoted happiness through Neohumanist principles.
  2. Storytelling: Encouraged a sense of connectedness.
  3. Yoga and Meditation
  4. Fireless Cooking: Fostered sharing and caring.
  5. Fun Activities and Games: Included the “Lie Trap” game to enhance moral intelligence.
  6. Learning PROUT Principles
  7. Environmental Awareness: Included watering plants with gratitude.
  8. Reflections: Kids shared their camp takeaways.

Neohumanist Education Summer Camp at Ananda Marga School, K.G. Halli

Dates: May 13-17, 2024

Day 1:

  • Introduction Badge: Participants share inspirations.
  • Yoga: Tree pose, Bhujangasanas, Breathing exercises.
  • Song: “Let’s Move Together – SAM’GACCHADHVAM.”
  • Activity: Importance of moving together for overall progress using stories, visuals, and interactive sessions.

Day 2:

  • Introductory Song
  • Yoga: Asana practice.
  • Concept: SAM’VADADHVAM – unity in speech and thought.
  • Discussion and Storytelling: “May you move in harmony, speak in one voice, and may your minds be in agreement to establish a better society.” Participants share their experiences.
  • Game: Spider Web incorporating the concept of unity.

Day 3:

  • Introductory Song
  • Yoga: Asana practice.
  • Concept: SAM’VOMANÁM’ SI JÁNATA’M – collective understanding.
  • Discussion and Storytelling: “With our minds put together, may we understand the importance of staying in the company of good people.” Interactive sessions for participants to share their feelings.

Day 4:

  • Concept Discussion: “Deva Bhagam Yatha Purve Sanjanana Upasate”.
    • Emphasis on equal distribution of food, shelter, clothing, medication, and education.
    • Steps towards creating a better world and its application in daily lives.

Day 5:

  • Introductory Song: SAMÁNII VA A’KÚTIH, emphasizing the immense potential of human beings.
  • Activities: Discovering the goodness and hidden superhero within oneself.
  • Discussion: Understanding how calming the mind helps oneself.
  • Concept Introduction: SAMÁNÁ HRDAYÁNIVAH – Love for all.
    • Exploring how love is innate and embedded in nature.
    • Discussion about positive and negative emotions.

Participants learned through stories, yoga, songs, and interactive activities, guided by the principles of Neohumanist education.

Key contributors to the success of the program included Avtk. Ananda Anupama Acarya, Reetu Didi, Margavi Didi, Manjula Didi, and Diptima Didi. Additionally, parents were introduced to Ananda Marga’s ideology and philosophy through their children’s active participation in the camp.

ERAWS Kids Summer Camp 2024: A Fun-Filled Journey of Enrichment and Learning

Gurukul Summer Camp for Kids organized by ERAWS School in Mumbai

Summer camp has been organized at Eraws school, Ghatkopar from 26th April to 28th April.

This camp is specially organized for kids for their personal development and spiritual development which will help them and inspire them. The opening ceremony has been done by Ac Nityasundranand Dada, Ac Hargovindanand dada, and Avtk Ananda Sahishnuta Ac’.

Total 96 students Participated in this camp and benefitted by doing different activities like:-

  1. Social Norms class
  2. Art and Craft
  3. Drawing
  4. No gas cooking
  5. Water games
  6. Sports
  7. Dance and music
  8. Yoga and meditation
  9. Kiirtan and Bhajans

On 28th April winners and participants had their certificates with lots of blessings and love. In this closing ceremony, we had the special presence of Ac Satyavratanand Dada, who inspired children with his words.

We are thankful to every kids their parents and our volunteers who supported us to make this camp super successful.

Gurukul Summer Camp in Calicut, Kerala

Unleashing Potential: As’tanga Yoga Centre’s Gurukulam Special Summer Camp Transforms Lives in Calicut, Kerala

The As’tanga Yoga Centre in Calicut, Kerala, organized a Gurukulam Special Summer Camp for youngsters in the area, ages 8 to 15. The program, which ran from April 8 to April 13, 2024, attracted about 15 children. Yoga, arts and crafts, music, mind games, Kalari (ancient martial arts), and narrative sessions with moral and inspirational themes were among the activities offered during the camp. Throughout the program, the pupils were served wholesome meals. Together with guest trainers from Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha, such as Aca’rya Rasasiddhananda Avadhuta and Aca’rya Krsnasundarananda Avadhuta, the camp welcomed local trainers. Certificates and keepsakes were given to participants at the closing ceremony. Secretary Rashmi Ananda and her group successfully planned the event.
