Representatives associated with Ananda Marga Gurukula participated in the 14th All India Students’ Conference on Science and Spiritual Quest (AISSQ 2026), held on 31 October and 1 November 2026 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. Organized by the Bhaktivedanta Institute under the theme “Science, Technology & Mind,” the conference brought together distinguished scientists, researchers, academicians, spiritual thinkers, and students to explore the relationship between modern science, consciousness, and spirituality.
Presenting Ananda Marga Yoga Psychology
Deepeshwar Dev, representing Ananda Marga Gurukula, presented a research poster titled “Reclaiming the Mind in the Digital Age: Yoga Psychology, Mental Growth and Positive Thinking.”
The research introduced an integrative Mental Growth and Personality Development (MGPD) framework inspired by the teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, connecting Yoga Psychology, moral discipline, meditation, positive thinking, and contemporary scientific research on mental well-being.
The presentation emphasized four interconnected dimensions—Attend, Align, Cultivate, and Contribute—encouraging mindful awareness, ethical self-regulation, contemplative practices, and purposeful action for individual and collective welfare.
The poster generated meaningful discussions with academic judges associated with IIT Dharwad, IIT Guwahati, and IIT (BHU) Varanasi, along with fellow researchers and poster presenters.
Meaningful Interactions with Scientists and Spiritual Thinkers
One particularly encouraging interaction was with Prof. Sisir Roy, National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bengaluru, whose conference research presentation, “Meditative Experience and the Measurement Problem: An MSTM Framework for First-Person and Neurophysiological Science,” explored the scientific challenges of studying meditative experiences.
During the interaction, Prof. Roy shared his reference to Ananda Marga meditation in his research and expressed keen interest in further engaging with Anandamargis. This exchange highlighted encouraging possibilities for future dialogue on meditation, consciousness, and scientific inquiry.
The team also engaged with researchers, students, and followers of Krishna and Vedanta traditions, exchanging perspectives on spiritual philosophy, the nature of consciousness, and the pursuit of deeper understanding.
Strengthening the Science–Spirituality Bridge Through RU
The conference offered a valuable realization: scientists and spiritual seekers from diverse backgrounds are exploring fundamental questions about consciousness, existence, human purpose, and ultimate reality through different approaches.
Such interactions underscore the importance of creating meaningful intellectual platforms where scientific inquiry and spiritual philosophy can engage in constructive dialogue.
Through Renaissance Universal (RU), Ananda Marga Gurukula looks forward to connecting interested researchers, academicians, students, and spiritual thinkers worldwide, encouraging interdisciplinary discussions, collaborative exploration, and the wider understanding of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti’s philosophical contributions.
There remains tremendous potential to make Yoga Psychology, Neohumanism, moral philosophy, and holistic human development more accessible through rational discussion, scholarly engagement, and scientific investigation.
A Collective Effort Towards a Greater Mission
Deepeshwar Dev, Puja Kumari, and Madan Singh attended the conference in person, while Reetu Singh and Pranab Dada contributed valuable support during research preparation, discussions, and presentation development.
The experience proved intellectually enriching and opened possibilities for continued academic engagement and meaningful collaboration.
Ananda Marga Gurukula expresses sincere appreciation to the Bhaktivedanta Institute and the AISSQ 2026 Organizing Committee for providing a platform where scientific curiosity and spiritual wisdom could meet in a spirit of mutual respect and exploration.
Guided by the ideal “Átmamoksárthaḿ Jagat Hitáya Ca” — Self-Realization and Service to Humanity, we remain committed to advancing knowledge, nurturing human values, and strengthening the bridge between science and spirituality for the welfare of all.
