The spiritual atmosphere at Kiirtan Nagar, Amjharia reached its zenith with the final hour of blissful Kiirtan, marking the end of an 8-day Akhanda Kiirtan of the sacred mantra “Ba’ba’ Na’m Kevalam”. This profound celebration was held in honor of Kiirtana Divas on 8th October. The entire event was beautifully organized by Seva Dharma Mission, and we extend our heartfelt wishes to all for a Happy Kiirtana Divas.
Inauguration of Kiirtan Diwas Festival by Revered PP Dada
The Kiirtan Diwas Festival commenced on 1st October, with the inaugural ceremony graced by Revered Purodha Pramukh (PP) Dada, Acarya Vishvadevananda Avadhuta Ji, along with the Central Committee and respected WTs and Margiis. The 8-day Akhanda Kiirtan was a spiritually enriching experience, drawing participants from various states of India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
During the event, PP Dada also inaugurated several key development works at Kiirtan Nagar, including the entrance gate, boundary wall, and Baba’s Room, which are significant for preserving the sanctity of the space. Additionally, the foundation stone for the Ananda Mukti Sudha Master Unit at Kiirtan Nagar was laid by PP Dada, who named the new unit located on 7.8 acres of land. This project is expected to expand in the near future, further contributing to the mission of spiritual and social welfare.
Annual Celebration: A Tradition of Devotion
Every year, Seva Dharma Mission organizes this 8-day Akhanda Kiirtan from 1st to 8th October to commemorate the auspicious Kiirtana Divas. Amjharia holds special significance in Ananda Marga’s history as the first place where Gurudev Shrii Shrii Anandamurti Ji introduced the sacred Astakshari Siddha Mahamantra, “Baba Nam Kevalam,” for the welfare of the universe. This year’s event was a grand success, with all Margiis and devotees joining in the celebrations with great enthusiasm.
Special Activities During the Festival
In addition to the Akhanda Kiirtan, several other activities were held, including:
- A RAWA program to inspire through art and service.
- Tree planting ceremonies as part of environmental preservation efforts.
- The distribution of 300 blankets, 100 Dhoti and 100 Sarees to those in need, symbolizing the compassion and selfless service embodied by Ananda Marga.
- Honoring all volunteers and participants who contributed to the success of the event with their dedication and service.
- Kiirtan Procession with purpose of spreading wave of “Baba Nam Kevalam” in Latehar, Chandwa
