The AMURT Medical Service at Anandanagar is committed to providing essential healthcare support to the local community. At the AMURT Bhavan, the Abha Seva Sadan unit has been operating for an extended period, offering various medical services. On the first Sunday of each month, specialized doctors visit the unit to address the healthcare needs of patients.

A team of compassionate doctors, including Dr. Karuna Sahdev (Gynecologist), Dr. Anshuman (General Medicine), Dr. PD Singh (Orthopedic), and Dr. Ananda (Ortho), selflessly provide their services to the suffering tribal villagers in and around Anandanagar. Additionally, Acarya Pracetanand Avadhuta oversees the general medicine clinic at the AMURT Bhavan on regular days, ensuring that necessary medical care is available.

Community health camp & Ambulance Service

To cater to emergency situations, the unit is equipped with an ambulance, enabling prompt medical assistance in and around Anandanagar. Moreover, the team organizes free medical camps in different villages within the Anandanagar region.

As part of their community project, Abha Seva Sadan actively organizes medical camps in nearby villages that are grappling with poverty and in dire need of healthcare services. It is encouraged to share this request within personal groups to seek support and contributions for this noble cause.

Dental Clinic OPD

Furthermore, a dedicated outpatient department (OPD) has been established at the AMURT Bhavan, providing dental treatment services. The dental center offers a range of services, including digital X-rays, dental laser treatment, tooth fillings, root canal treatment, painless tooth extractions, minor surgical procedures, teeth cleaning (scaling), and gum treatments. Dr. Shantivrata Verma from Patna has taken the noble initiative of serving patients in Anandanagar. All these initiatives have been implemented and continue to operate for the welfare of the tribes and local communities in Anandanagar.

AMURT Global Jamshedpur, in collaboration with Jamshedpur Blood Bank and MGM Blood Bank, holds monthly blood donation camps twice a month. “One Tree Many Lives – PCAP”

Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team Global and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Plants (PCAP) in Jamshedpur organized a Free Sapling Distribution Program under the campaign “One Tree Many Lives.” As part of this initiative, saplings were distributed to the public based on their preferences. So far, a remarkable 1.5 Lakhs plant saplings have been distributed, contributing to a greener environment.

To further enhance their environmental efforts, PCAP Jamshedpur introduced a new initiative called the Seedball concept. The team is diligently preparing seed balls to ensure no seeds go to waste. These seed balls will be distributed among locals to be thrown into barren lands during or before the monsoon season. This innovative approach will result in the growth of flourishing plants.

In celebration of Environment Week from 8th to 14th June, PCAP Jamshedpur will conduct free distribution events near Sonari Kabir Temple and Ananda Marga Jagriti Gadra Jamshedpur. A total of 1,000 and 5,000 seed balls will be given to various organizations and rural communities, with the aim of reducing the Earth’s heat and promoting a healthier environment.

During these events, Sunil Anand addressed the attendees, highlighting the five benefits of planting trees. He emphasized that trees provide essential oxygen for human life and help prevent soil erosion, thereby maintaining soil quality. Additionally, trees play a significant role in raising the groundwater level and regulating the surrounding ecosystem’s temperature. By planting more trees, mankind can contribute to its own preservation.

PCAP also celebrated World Tribals Day by distributing plants and organizing a Plantation drive at Gadra, Jamshedpur. Recognizing the tribal communities as true lovers and protectors of the environment, PCAP emphasized the need to consider every animal, vine, and plant as a part of the family to conserve nature effectively. By fostering awareness and genuine care for the environment, PCAP aims to encourage widespread tree planting and create a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature.

A Free Eye check-up and Cataract Operation Center

Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team Global in collaboration with Poornima Netralaya conducts free eye check-ups and free cataract operation check-ups camp every Thursday at Gadra Jagriti and every Saturday at Ananda Marga School, Kandra.
In the Vision Center of Ananda Marga, 80-100 people are screened regularly and free saplings are distributed to plants in their surrounding areas.

Patients diagnosed with cataracts are referred to Purnima Netralaya where their eyes are operated on while others are provided free medical advice.

Ananda Marga has been committed to making efforts for the welfare of the general public, in this episode it is the Vision Center in which Free Eye Cataract Diagnosis & Treatment is being rendered as a service to the needy people.

Service is of two types, Temporary service such as serving Na’ra’yana, distributing books and notebooks to children, etc. comes under Vaes’yoc’ita Seva’ (financial assistance), which temporarily benefits the Na’ra’yana, but building a school building, a hospital, and distributing trees and saplings selflessly, etc. is long-term assistance and could have a permanent positive effect. Their benefits are available to people for a long time.

Poornima Netralaya and Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team Global organized Eye Checkup Camp at Tempo Stand, Sakchi Jamshedpur, in which about 300 people were examined, of which 35 cataract patients were selected whose operation will be done on March 10 at Purnima Netralaya and free lens also fitted.
