Ananda Marga, a worldwide spiritual organization, participated in the United Nations’ International Yoga Day celebration alongside India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and representatives from all UN member countries. The event served as a platform for Ananda Marga to share its profound perspective on yoga, emphasizing the union of the individual soul with the Supreme Soul through the powerful mantra “Samyogo yogah ityuktah jiivátmá Paramátmanah.”

In addition to the UN event, Ananda Marga also actively engaged in a gathering of humanitarian organizations at New York City Hall, led by New York Assembly Mayor David I Weprin, to commemorate World Refugee Day 2023 and support the objectives of the 9/11 Memorial in New York. Recognizing their commitment to countering terrorism, Ananda Marga was invited by Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman of NID Foundation and Indian Minorities Foundation, to participate in the meeting, where they wholeheartedly pledged their dedication to collaborative efforts and sustained cooperation.

Ananda Marga’s representatives conveyed a resounding message to the world, declaring India as the best country, one that has lovingly embraced nations worldwide. As a global spiritual organization, Ananda Marga emphasized its overarching mission to serve suffering humanity and spread the flag of love across the globe.

In recognition of their exceptional service, Ananda Marga’s representative, A’ca’rya Abhiramanand Avadhuta, received a prestigious citation from the New York State Assembly. The delegation from Ananda Marga, which included AMPS General Secretary Acarya Abhiramananda Avt., Senior Monk Acarya Shankaranand Avt., Didi Ananda Hitaprabha, and Dada Kovid Bramhachari, actively participated in the International Yoga Day celebration at the United Nations, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to promoting yoga and fostering unity among all nations.
